David Lee Roth

David Lee Roth (also known as Dave Lee Roth or Diamond Dave) is an American rock vocalist. He was born on October 10, 1954 in Bloomington, Indiana.

Dave Lee Roth was the initial vocalist of the band Van Halen, working with them until his acrimonious firing in 1984. Following his departure from Van Halen, Roth formed the DLR group with guitarist Steve Vai, bass player Billy Sheehan, drummer Greg Bissonette and former Van Halen producer Ted Templeman to record Eat em' and Smile - the slogan from the box for Dave's favorite brand of watermelon.
