David Geffen

David Geffen (born February 21, 1943) is an American music producer and gay record executive.

He began his entertainment career in the mailroom at the William Morris Agency, quickly becoming an agent and promoting the careers of Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt and the Eagles.

He moved on to Warner Brothers, then Geffen Records, which handled Cher, Aerosmith and Nelson.

He founded the Geffen Film Company, producing Little Shop of Horrors, Beetlejuice, Dreamgirls and Cats.

He was the subject of false rumors that he had married Keanu Reeves.
