Creole cuisine

Creole cuisine is a style of cooking originating in Louisiana that blends French and American influences. It is similar to Cajun cuisine, but somewhat more oriented towards a European style of cooking (though with local produce); however, outside Louisiana the distinction is rarely made.

A popular Creole dessert is Crème brûlée.
