Cow

A cow is a female adult of the bovine cattle, domesticated for producing steers, milk, and/or beef. In Hinduism, the cow is said to be holy (and thus should not be eaten); "The cow is our Mother, for she gives us her milk."

The term cow is also used for the female of some other species, including whale, moose and buffalo.
