Conveyor transport is the broad category of transport that includes modes developed from the idea of a conveyor belt. Examples include:

In Hong Kong, tens of thousands of commuters travel each work day between the Central District (a financial district) and the Mid Level (a residential district hundreds of feet up Victoria Peak) using a long distance escalator/moving sidewalk combination.
