Chinatown, London
Chinatown is currently in the Soho part of London. However originally Chinatown was in the East End of London, but moved West due to the prosperity of the Chinese, and the popularity of Chinese food and culture. The previous Chinatown in the Limehouse region of London was known more for its opium dens (which were legal) and slum housing which are normally associated with immigrants in a town or city, rather than its Chinese restaurants and supermarkets in the current Chinatown. A number of elderly Chinese still live in this area.
Not only Chinese people, but Japanese, Singaporeans, and Koreans live in Chinatown.
For more information on why Chinatowns were developed see Chinatown.
