Chatuchak weekend market

Chatuchak (or Jatujak) weekend market in Bangkok is the largest market in Thailand, and quite possibly the world. It covers over 35 acres and contains upwards of 15000 stalls. It is estimated that the market receives between 200,000 and 300,000 visitors each day. As the suggests it is only open on Saturdays and Sundays.

The market offers a wide variety of products including household items, clothing, Thai handicrafts, religious artifacts, food, and even live animals in cages!

Chatuchak market is about a 5 minute walk from Bangkok's "Mo Chit" Skytrain station. The market will have it's own Bangkok subway metro station starting in 2004.
