Carol Lynn Maillard

Carol Lynn Maillard was one of the founding members of the African American a cappella ensemble Sweet Honey in the Rock. She is an accomplished actress, singer and composer. Her acting credits include roles on Broadway (Eubie, Comin' Uptown, Beehive); off-Broadway (in several Negro Ensemble Company productions and in the New York Shakespeare Festival); television (For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow is Enuf, Hallelujah); and film (Beloved, Thirty to Life). Maillard has also been a guest vocalist for artists Horace Silver and Betty Buckley.
