Caraga
Caraga, is the newest region of the Philippines, also designated as Region XIII. It is composed of 4 provinces, namely: Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte and Surigao del Sur.Caraga Region has a total land area of 1,902,980 hectares. Majority of the people are Visaya-Cebuano while the rest are indigenous. Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Sur belong to the 20+ poorest provinces of the country. The poor economic condition of the region's families is the main reason for its low performance.
