Caister

Caister (from Latin castra - castle) is a town in Norfolk, England, three miles north of Great Yarmouth.

A Roman settlement, it is also the site of a 15th-century moated castle with a 100 ft high tower. It had been built by Sir John Fastolf who was the inspiration for William Shakespeare's Falstaff.

Nine miles south west is another Roman castle at Burgh Castle.
