CacotopiaCacotopia, a word coined by Jeremy Bentham in 1818 and also used by his associate, John Stuart Mill, who coined the more successful synonym, dystopia.The prefix caco- means "the worst", but also has scatological overtones. Perhaps Alfred Jarry's Ubu Roi (translated as King Turd) should be considered a cacotopia. See also: Utopia.
