Bleaching agent

A bleaching agent is any compound that bleaches the colour out of fabrics, paper, or other materials. Household bleach or ( Sodium hypochlorite, is used in the holdhold for stains on any type of material that mostly consists of a white material. This is because sodium hypochlorite contains chlorine wich reacts with many substances to form a white product.

Hair bleach on the other hand contains hydrogen peroxide, which contains oxygen. Oxygen is a less reactive substance than chlorine, and so has a milder bleaching effect.
