Notable among them is the one along the Black Lake Bayou, which forms part of the boundary between Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana and Red River Parish, Louisiana. Another near the Gulf Coast is in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.There is now no recognized community in Louisiana with this name. An apparent community named Black Lake is sometimes cited as the place for the shootout that killed the legendary bandits Bonnie and Clyde at Driskill Mountain near Sailes, Louisiana on 1934-05-23. The reference may be near the Black Lake School in Bienville Parish, Louisiana appearing on the National Mapping Information site.
