Birmingham pub bombing
The Birmingham pub bombing occured in November of 1974, when the Irish Republican Army carried out one of its most devastating attacks when 21 people were killed when a pub was bombed in Birmingham, England.Due to strong public pressure on the police for justice, 10 people were arrested for this latest incident and for Guildford. While these bombings led to this significant miscarriage of justice, it also prompted Parliament to introduce new anti-terrorism laws.
