Battle of Geonosis
The Battle of Geonosis is a fictional battle in the Star Wars universe. This was the opening battle of the Clone Wars This battle was featured in Attack of the Clones. This battle occured when Separtist Forces captured Obi-Wan Kenobi on Geonosis, and he was charged with spying for the Republic. Anakin Skywalker and Senator Amidala tried to rescue him and were also captured. The Galactic Senate granted Supreme Chancelor Palpatine "emergany powers" to deal with the crisis.A group of about 200 Jedi were sent to Geonosis to rescue Obi-Wan. After batteling the Separtist droid army, few of them remained, but they were rescued by the timly arival of Yoda with a clone army grown on Kamino. Thus began the Clone Wars.
