Batman ProvinceBatman is a Turkish province in the south east of Anatolia. It was named after the Batman river, which flows though this area. The province is important because of its oil reserves and production. The oil refinery was founded in 1955. There is a 494 kilometers long oil pipeline from Batman to the Turkish town of Iskenderun.
