Aspect ratio
The aspect ratio of a two-dimensional shape is the ratio of its longest dimension to its shortest dimension.The term is most commonly used with reference to images (see aspect ratio (image)) or to the wing-plans of aircraft or birds (see aspect ratio (wing)).
