Angels Flight is a landmark funicular railway in the Bunker Hill district of downtown Los Angeles, California, which claims to be the "shortest railway in the world."

Originally built in 1901, it was closed in the 1969 as the automobile rose to prominence in city transportation plans and public railways all but disappeared. The railway was restored and reopened in 1996. The restored railway was closed and dismantled once again, in 2001, due to an accident which killed one passenger and injured seven others.
