25pr Short Mark 1

The 25pr Short Mark 1 (Baby 25pr) was an Australian 25-pounder howitzer, first produced in 1943. This was a shortened version of the standard 25pr, mounted on the Carriage 25pr Light, Mark 1. The Baby 25pr was intended for jungle combat and was used in Southeast Asia and the Pacific, during World War II. The jeep-towable gun could be broken down into 13 sections.
